Lychee needs a new owner
Bye-bye for now
It’s been a while. We’ve had six issues of Lychee and featured some brilliant writers, including Sarah Mathews on being bisexual and South Asian, and Jenny Bhatt on the few, limiting stories that South Asians are about to tell. We answered questions about abuse and arranged marriage.
And then, in October, I stopped publishing this newsletter. Somewhere along the line I realized that Lychee was distracting me from working on my book. In fact, it had become a way for me to avoid working on my book. I piled on all these responsibilities so I always had more urgent things to do. I decided to drop the newsletter.
Recently, I was looking back through these archives, and realized what a valuable, wonderful resource this was. I’d love to find someone else to run it—I’m happy to offer my editing and brainstorming resources, but I just have too much on my plate. Shoot me an email if you’re interested in this—I’d love to collaborate.
Take care, all. Sending love to those worried about India and elsewhere.
